NASA Tour
Your exploration of NASA's launch headquarters traverses an amazing area that includes towering launch pads, huge rockets, history-making technology, and vast stretches of Florida wildlife. The NASA Up-Close tour and the Cape Canaveral: Then & Now tour are guided by a space program expert and take you deeper into the operations of Kennedy Space Center.

In 2 giant IMAX® theaters, the dream of spaceflight comes alive with a wall of sound, five-story screen and realistic 3D special effects. Dramatic footage shot by NASA Astronauts during actual missions will make you feel like you’re floating right alongside them.

The Space Coast, as the area around Port Canaveral has come to be known, has become one of the top tourist destinations in Florida.

The magnificent Kennedy Space Center is the embodiment of the promise that President John F. Kennedy made to the nation in the early 1960?s. Even after hundreds of space explorations, shuttle launches at Cape Canaveral are still a special event.

Don't forget about our Miami Seaquarium Water and Dolphin Exploration Program where you get to swim with real dolphins, feed them, and interact with them!

The Education Department offers a guided presentation program for school and youth groups visiting the park.

Here are the following themes. (one theme per presentation)

Marine Mammal Mysteries:
This is an exciting program for students that includes a hands on discussion of dolphin, whale, seal and sea lion anatomy and unique underwater adaptations. Explore the secret language of echolocation, learn the characteristics of marine mammals and differentiate seals from sea lions. Your animal interaction will be a sea lion feeding session.

Endangered Manatee Expedition:
Bring your students face to face with rehabilitating manatees as they discuss reasons for endangerment, basic anatomy, evolution, and preservation of the species. Your animal interaction is a manatee touch and feed session.

Endangered Reptile Alert:
Get up close and comfortable with American alligators, Nile crocodiles, and Sea turtles. Learn how to save these Florida natives as we discuss the myths and mysteries of our ancient aquatic ancestors. Your animal interaction will be a sea turtle feeding session.

Located on beautiful Biscayne Bay, Miami Seaquarium is minutes from downtown, the Port of Miami and the airport.

Looking out over the majestic Biscayne Bay, the Miami Seaquarium boasts a variety of attractions that are sure to keep you busy all day long. See any number of the 26 aquariums containing a variety of tropical fish from all over the world and other forms of marine life.

Key West For Kids

Head south to Islamorada, where you can swim with playful sea lions and graceful giant rays, or just enjoy the animal shows and educational displays at vTheater of the Sea. Thrill little kids and big kids alike with hand-feeding tarpon while fishing with Robbie's of Islamorada.

Almost 70 miles, 112.9 km, west of Key West, Florida lies a cluster of seven islands called the Dry Tortugas. These islands, along with surrounding coral reefs and waters, make up the Dry Tortugas National Park. Snorkeling, kayaking, camping, legends of pirates and sunken gold have drawn visitors to this national park from all over the world.

Marathon marks the midpoint in the chain. The Dolphin Research Center on Grassy Key provides a controlled environment for swimming with these intelligent creatures, while fishermen can catch Main Attraction Charters for a day on the water.

You can't miss beautiful Bahia Honda State Park, with its beach camping, picnicking and boat charters. Then head south to explore the Kayaking around the Lower Keys mangrove tunnels and back bays by kayak with Big Pine Kayak Adventures. Are you ready to rough it? Do it in style at the Sugarloaf KOA campground. And for those campers who hate to cook, there is Mangrove Mama's restaurant on Summerland Key.

Key West is anything but the end – in fact, it can be a trip all on its own! It's a quick stroll from there to the Key West Aquarium and its daily shark feedings. Up the block, the new Pirate Museum lends insight into Key West's marauding past.

In the Florida Keys, U.S. Highway 1 is a ribbon stringing together pearl-like islands. Follow the ribbon and you'll find wet, wild and unique activities sure to please kids.

The mangroves seem to fall away from the highway to reveal the placid playground of Florida Bay. Watch the mile markers to find nearly anything along the island chain.

Key Largo, Known as "dive capital of the U.S.," Key Largo's entertainment runs deep, starting with John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park at Mile Marker (MM) 102.5. A host of purveyors provide underwater tours to certified divers and snorkelers, and the park service also runs glass bottom boats for those who prefer sightseeing topside.
